The first written record of Bělá dates back to 1349. During the 14th and 15th century, the village belonged to a noble family. On 01.01. 1979 Bělá was merged with another village called Chuchelná, but later these villages separated, and Bělá became an independent municipality. A fish farming facility specializing in trouts established by the Rothschild family can be found in the municipality. Nowadays itʼs a popular tourist attraction, that draws visitors from all around the region.
