Kozmice

The first written evidence of the municipality dates back to 1349. The history of Kozmice presents an inseparable part of the history of the Hlučín region. In the past, one part of the municipality belonged to a former Czech State and the other part belonged to Germany. The surrounding area of Kozmice offers a lot of free-time activities. Sports and recreational facility Štěrkovna can be found in the neighboring city of Hlučín and part of it lies in the cadaster of Kozmice. Because of its hilly area with spectacular views on the mountain range Nízky Jeseník and Hrubý Jeseník, the Beskydy mountains and a view on Poland, the whole Hlučín region is suitable for hiking and bicycle touring.
